The 15-Minute Rule changed everything for me when it comes to decluttering. You don’t need an all-day marathon to make progress-in fact, that’s a fast track to burnout and a bigger mess. Here’s what to do instead: 1. Set a timer for 15 minutes. 2. Choose one small area or category- like jackets, utensils, mugs, bathroom towels. 3. Declutter what you can in that time. Why it works: ✨ It feels doable (no overwhelm!) ✨ You’re more likely to finish what you start ✨ You build momentum, one small win at a time We think we need big, dramatic action to make real change. But honestly? It’s the small, consistent steps that move the needle the most. Try it today and let me know what area you tackled! Drop it in the comments-l’d love to cheer you on 🫶🏼🩷

This is the 1% rule 👇 When I walk into a room, I try to ask myself: How can I make it 1% better? It doesn’t need to be perfect. I don’t need to do a massive clean or declutter every time. But what is a small 1% improvement I can make right now? ☕️ Maybe it’s taking dirty mugs to the kitchen. 🛏️ Maybe it’s making the bed. 🧸 Maybe it’s decluttering a couple toys they no longer play with. We often underestimate the power of these tiny changes over a long period of time. Need more help? 👩‍💻 Comment “HABIT” below and I’ll send you a link to the 15 tiny habits I use to simplify my life. ✨ . #simplehome #declutteryourhome #capsulewardrobe #simplifiedhome #neutralhome #cleaningmotivation #simpleliving #declutterwithme #scandinavianhome #declutteredhome #declutterwithkids #decluttertips #simplifyyourspace #simplifyyourhome #minimalist #minimalistmom #simpleliving #minimalismwithkids #minimalista #ikeahome #mumblogger #ukblogger

Decluttering or getting rid of things 📦 can be HARD. It doesn’t mean you need to get rid of everything you love, but if you’re stuck, try THIS 👇🏻: 1️⃣ Don’t ask yourself: “Do I love it?” Instead ask: “Does this fit my life RIGHT NOW? “Would I buy this again today?” “Does this help with how I want my home to feel?” You can love an item, but also recognize you don’t need or use it. 2️⃣ Refine & keep the BEST: If you have multiples of an item, narrow it down. Instead of keeping 8 mugs, keep 3. Focus on 2 cardigans you always wear instead of 6. You’re not getting rid of everything, you’re refining what you own. 3️⃣ SPACE over STUFF: Look at the space you have and use that to help you decide! If you only have 2 drawers, you can only keep so many clothes. The focus changes from “this isn’t important” to “this is all the space I have” and takes the gilt away. 4️⃣ ONE BOX: When it comes to sentimental things, give yourself ONE box per child, memory, etc. Take photos 📸 of items you can’t keep and put them into a memory album. 5️⃣ CHOICE vs. GOODBYE: Instead of thinking what do I need to get rid of, you’re changing your thought process to “What am I choosing to allow into my space”. This helps your mind focus on giving you the control, rather than loss. 6️⃣ MAYBE Box: I’ve shared this one before. If letting go feels scary, give yourself a “MAYBE Box”. If you’re not sure about an item, put it into that box with a date on it. Store it away and if you don’t reach for the item in 6-12 months, you likely don’t need it. TIP: This works great in your closet with clothing! ✨✨If you want my FULL guide for Decluttering comment “GUIDE” on this post and I’ll send it your way! ✨ (must be following me or you won’t see it!) #declutter #declutteringtips #manageablehome

Feeling overwhelmed by ALL the clutter? Start with just ONE grocery bag. That’s it! 🛍️ The rule: Fill one bag with items to donate/toss. When it’s full, STOP. Take it out immediately. Why this works: 🎯 Not overwhelming ⚡ Quick wins build momentum 🔄 Creates an instant habit ✅ Actually gets stuff OUT of your house I’ve been doing this for 30 days and my house feels completely different! It’s like magic but make it realistic 🪄 Try it RIGHT NOW - grab a bag and fill it with things you don’t need. Then come back and tell me how good it felt! Tag a friend to challenge to do this too! 👯‍♀️ #declutterchallenge #organizinghacks #declutter #minimalism #homeorganization #organizingmotivation #declutteringmotivation #onebagchallenge #organizedhome #tidyup

DOWN HERE 👇🏼 First, you want to SAVE this for later ❗️ Decluttering can feel overwhelming, but breaking it down room by room makes the task more manageable and even enjoyable. Here’s my simple, step-by-step guide to keep your home organized and if you implement this today , you will be set and ready to go to tackle the spring cleaning 🧹 1. Start Small: Choose One Room Begin with a small space like a bathroom or entryway. Tackling a smaller area gives you a sense of accomplishment early on, motivating you to continue with bigger rooms. 2. Create Decluttering Zones Within each room, divide the space into smaller zones. Focus on one zone at a time (like a drawer, shelf, or countertop). This helps prevent feeling overwhelmed and keeps you organized. 3. The 3-Box Method Use three boxes or bins labeled “Keep,” “Donate,” and “Trash.” Sort through each item and decide its fate. Be ruthless—if you haven’t used something in the past six months or it doesn’t add value, it’s time to let it go. 4. Keep It Simple with Storage Solutions Invest in simple storage solutions like baskets, bins, and shelves. This will help keep things organized and make it easier to maintain a decluttered space in the long run. 5. Pace Yourself Don’t try to declutter your entire house in one go. Set aside small chunks of time each day (30 minutes to an hour) and tackle one room or zone at a time. The key is consistency, not speed. 6. Maintain It Once a room is decluttered, commit to a maintenance routine. Spend 5-10 minutes a day putting things back in their place to prevent clutter from piling up again. Decluttering is a journey, not a one-time event. By taking small, focused steps room by room, you'll create a more organized, peaceful space that’s easier to maintain. The absolute first thing I notice when stepping into a very cluttered home is a tightness in my chest. How about you? And I’m not talking about normal, lived-in life clutter...a blanket on the couch. A coffee cup on the counter. I’m talking about clutter that can't be tidied up in an afternoon or a weekend. The kind that follows a pattern. Here are a few I see again and again... 1. Unused bins and baskets. This usually tells me someone really wanted to get organized and truly tried. But somewhere along the way, the containers became part of the clutter. 2. Every surface is working overtime. Tables, counters, and nightstands covered in piles of papers and random things. Nothing gets to breathe. And honestly, neither does the brain. 3. Multiple versions of the same item. Four ice cream scoopers. Ten trays. More water bottles than anyone could use in a week. It adds up fast. 4. Things don’t live where they belong. A blow dryer on the floor. Shoes in the living room. Jackets dropped wherever there’s space. Items are constantly being set down instead of put away. 5. She’s always cleaning, tidying, apologizing. She’s exhausted. Overwhelmed. Because nothing has a true home, the work never ends. 6. The car can’t be parked in the garage. It’s filled to the brim with overflow. The biggest truth I see over and over is this: it’s not a lack of effort. I know what it feels like to have a home that drains your energy. That was me ten years ago. Everything changed when I had to move into a much smaller space. It wasn’t easy. I decluttered hard. Assigned a home to everything. Changed how I shopped. Adjusted my routines. Got more intentional. This page isn’t for people with normal life clutter. It’s for women who feel weighed down by it. I’m not a minimalist. I’m not a perfectionist. But I do have a free plan that works. Comment CALM and I’ll send it to you.

STEAL MY TRICKS 🔥👇🏻 Being the lunatic that’s been obsessed with decluttering and purging since she was a kid, I know EXACTLY what it takes to live in a calm, clutter-free home that you can actually look forward to coming home to. (PSST-Comment “CLEAN” for the full guide on how I do this in only 30 mins/day!) … and now I help busy women just like you take back their peace (&their sanity) without all the fancy aesthetic, color coded homes or pinterest vibes. 🫡 So here are 5 non-negotiable decluttering rules that give me an UNFAIR advantage when it comes to having a calm, clutter-free home (that takes literally minutes a day to clean!): 1. NO MAYBES. If it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no.  No “maybe I’ll use this someday.” No “but I spent money on it.” No “I should keep this.” Nope. Bye.  2. I DON’T OVERCOMPLICATE. I don’t do color-coded systems or Pinterest-perfect organizing. If it takes more effort to maintain than it does to use? Buh bye.  3. HONESTY OVER GUILT. I don’t keep things out of guilt. If an item in my home does not make me happy or make my life easier - buh bye.  (👉🏻this part is HUGE! Comment “CLEAN” for the full guide on exactly how I ruthlessly decide what stays & goes!) 4. CUSTOM SYSTEMS ONLY. I set up my home to work for my family, my flow, my life. There is no one-size-fits-all organizing method. Stop forcing a system that doesn’t work for you. 5. 30-MINUTE RULE. I do NOT do all weekend declutter-a-thons. 30 minutes and you’re done. No burnout, no decision fatigue, no “where do I even start” spiral. Just peace, baby. Decluttering doesn’t have to be overwhelming. It’s actually pretty freaking easy when you do it my way.😉 My program has changed HUNDREDS of women’s homes (& sanity 😅) and YOU’RE NEXT!🥳 It’s truly like having me, the crazy girl who’s been doing this since she was a KID FOR FUN, right there decluttering along with you! 🤩 ✅ COMMENT: “CLEAN”  And I’ll send you all the details straight to your inbox! 🎉Follow @organizewithkylie for more no BS organization & decluttering tips!

Day 2 of my Spring Reset series 🌿 Today I tackled two spots in my bedroom that slowly turned into clutter magnets — my vanity and the top of my dresser. Over the past few months, anything that didn’t have a place somehow ended up there. So I cleared everything out, went through all my makeup (including tossing anything expired), wiped everything down, and finally gave everything a proper home again. It’s such a small reset, but seeing my vanity and dresser clutter-free already makes the room feel calmer. Slowly getting my life together before spring… one space at a time. Bathroom reset tomorrow. #springreset #declutterwithme #vanityorganization #cleaningmotivation #resetwithme
