This was filmed October 14, 1997, just weeks before Around the Fur officially dropped. Deftones were already gaining momentum from Adrenaline, but this single — My Own Summer (Shove It) — took them to another level. It became one of their most recognizable tracks and helped define the sound of late-’90s alternative metal.
The show, Nulle Part Ailleurs, aired across France, giving the band a rare opportunity to deliver a heavy performance on mainstream European TV. This was also their first televised appearance with the Around the Fur era lineup fully locked in. Chino was coming into his own as a frontman — chaotic, focused, and unpredictable — and the rest of the band was tighter than ever.
This wasn’t just promo. It was proof that Deftones had officially arrived on a global stage.
