They’re constantly watching, constantly reacting—nothing gets close without a fight.
The real reason they’re so good? Instinct + aggression + awareness. That combo makes them insanely protective and attentive, which is exactly what fry need to survive. Just keep in mind—if they feel stressed or unsafe, they can flip and eat the clutch. Stability is what keeps those great parenting instincts locked in.
