Located in Williston, Florida. About 2 hours from Orlando and 30 minutes from Gainesville.
Devil’s Den is a prehistoric spring with fossils found dating back to 33 million years ago!
Today you may snorkel or scuba at the spring! 🤿
The water temperature stays a crisp 72 degrees year round.
You must reserve an hour and a half time slot to go. I was lucky enough to actually have the spring all to myself for about thirty minutes! During this time since there wasn’t a bunch of people in the water, big fish and even some turtles came out 🐢.

YODevil’s Den is a POPULAR destination for divers and snorkelers in Williston, Florida. It is 2 hours from Tampa and the water is 72 degrees all year around. I thought that was warm but I was cold the entire time so mentally prepare yourself lol.
The view is beautiful and you can see plenty of fish. Add this to your list but please make a reservation! And try to go on a week day, it gets crowded quickly.

DEOn cooooold mornings like this one, we see the steam created when cold air meets the 72 degree water of Devil’s Den! This steam gets trapped in the cave-like walls of the den and creates almost a natural sauna! So even though it’s in the 30s here in Williston, FL- inside of the den you can (from the wise words of our manager) stay nice and toasty!!! ☺️
