What is the Didache? The Didache is a document also known as The Teaching of the Twelve. Why is it important as it relates to eschatology and specifically, the rapture? In his book, Recent Pre-Trib Findings in the Early Church Fathers, Lee Brainard breaks down what this document is as well as its significance. He states in his book, "When considering the eschatological beliefs of the early church, one of the documents that absolutely must be considered is the Didache, also known as The Teaching of the Twelve. Though some scholars date this document in the early second century, most commonly it is dated in the first century, generally AD 70 to AD 100..." "...This puts it in competition for the earliest Christian document outside of the New Testament books. It may have been written while the apostle John was still alive and the canon of Scripture was not yet completed — i.e. the book of Revelation was not yet penned. Whether an individual or a group of men penned this work is unknown..." "...But the author or authors had undoubtedly known the apostolic associates, and probably the apostles themselves. This is provocative information. Irenaeus was one chain link removed from the apostles. The authors of the Didache were even closer. They had one foot in the apostolic era. Their views on the rapture, then, could be expected to reflect the apostles' view on the rapture," (Recent Pre-Trib Findings in the Early Church Fathers, 73) Follow @himitsuminitries to grow in your knowledge of bible prophecy (Eschatology). The Didache is a sub apostolic (late first century or early second century) teaching/document that addresses the way Christians should live according to the command of Christ and His church. In the second commandment it highlights the following, “You shall not murder a child by abortion, nor kill a child at birth (infanticide). From the earliest inception of the Church our view on life in the womb and outside the womb is clear. • • • • • • • #fyp #viral #viralvideos #christian #jesus #christianity

Does the Didache teach Trinitarian baptism? In the most recent episode of Apostolic Life in the 21st Century, I examine the Didache, an early Christian document often cited in baptism debates, and explain what it teaches in light of Scripture and early church practice. Did you know the Didache was written before most of the New Testament? 📜🔥 This ancient text—pronounced “DID-uh-kay”—means “The Teaching,” and it’s like a first-century handbook for how Christians lived and worshipped. It includes instructions on baptism, fasting, the Eucharist, and even how to recognize true vs. false teachers. It’s a powerful window into the life of the early Church—a Church already celebrating sacraments and living in community under apostolic guidance. It shows us that from the very beginning, the Church was visible, liturgical, and sacramental—rooted in real practices, not just abstract beliefs. The Didache isn’t Scripture obviously, but it reflects the living Tradition the apostles handed down (and gives a clear picture of what Christianity was like early on)… the same Tradition we still live as Catholics today. 🕊️⛪ ✅ Like and follow for more Catholic inspiration 👍🏻

The Didache was written around 100 A.D., right after the apostles. It literally says: “You shall not murder a child by abortion.” That’s 2,000 years of proof — abortion was NEVER Christian. #ProLife #BibleTruth #ChristianHistory #SpeakTruthMercilessly #Didache
