1️⃣ Food quality doesn’t matter THAT much if your goal is fat loss Here’s the deal, as much as I highly recommend that you get most of your food in the form of natural, whole foods that are highly satiating, that only matters from a nutritional perspective, not necessarily fat loss. The fact is, you could get lean eating McDonald’s every day. It would just be way harder. So if you’re cutting fat and you get mad at yourself for having ONE bad thing, as long as it doesn’t take you out of a caloric deficit, don’t stress it. The main thing is being in a 500kcal deficit. 2️⃣ Walk As Much As Humanly Possible Steps are the key in turning your body into a fat burning machine. Without the steps you will have to aggressively slash your calories down to a minimum just to lose fat. Walk 10-14k steps every single day so that you can burn between 500-700 extra calories. 3️⃣ Focus On Weekly Average Weight Lost, Not Daily Fluctuations You should weigh yourself at the same time every morning after using the toilet for accuracy. You should then take these scale readings and track them so that the average can be compared weekly. If you’re losing between 0.7-1.2% of your total body weight per week, you’re doing good. 4️⃣ Stubborn Fat Comes Off… Eventually Fat in stubborn areas are no different to fat in others. They are simply your body’s preferred location to store fat, so it will be the last to go. You just have to endure the caloric deficit long enough for it to be lost. No amount of targeting exercises will speed up this process. It’s a test of patience. 5️⃣ Stick To Pareto’s Principle (80/20 Rule) Don’t follow a diet that you can’t stick to. What I like to do is eat 80% whole foods, 20% bullshit. This way, I can enjoy my diet and it’s something realistic that I can stick to, which means that I can stay in shape for life.
