Before understanding what this theorem states let's underline something: 📌 The function must be continous 📌 The function must be derivable Okay, we can continue: let's take two points on the function ( a and b ). Then we consider the line passing between these two points. The Lagrange Theorem states that there will be a point(c), between a and b, where the tangent line to the function will have the same slope as the line passing for a and b. Lately, I've been interested in Weierstrass Functions. The basic idea is that you can have a function that is continuous everywhere (no discontinuities), but differentiable nowhere (the slope of the tangent line changes as the h approaches 0). The visual I made here is not a standard Weierstrass function, but exhibits some of it's seemingly contradictory qualities.
