When two equations have the same y, it means they meet at the same point on a graph. That’s why we set them equal to each other. Here we start with: y=2x+3 and y= x^2 -x - 1 Set them equal to find the intersection: 2x+3=x^2-x-1 Rearrange everything to one side and you get a quadratic: x^2-3x-4=0 From here we can factor and find the x-values where the line and parabola intersect. This is a classic exam question in higher tier maths, so mastering this method will save you marks! #MathTutor #IGCSEMaths #EdexcelMaths #MathHelp #LearnMaths πŸ“šβœοΈ

Fractional algebraic equations often look complicated at first. But the truth is, they’re not difficult β€” they just require the right approach. The biggest mistake students make is trying to solve them directly without simplifying. Instead, always start by removing the fractions. Find the LCM of all denominators, multiply the entire equation, and convert it into a simple linear equation. Once the fractions are gone, the problem becomes much easier to solve. This method not only saves time, but also reduces errors. Math is not about doing more steps, it’s about doing the right steps. Focus on understanding the process, and even complex-looking problems will start feeling simple. In this video we solve a differential equation involving logarithmic functions. Differential equations describe how quantities change and interact in many mathematical and physical models. When logarithmic terms appear, it becomes important to apply calculus techniques carefully along with the separation of variables method. In this example we analyze the structure of the equation and solve it step by step. Problems like this appear frequently in university courses on calculus and differential equations. #DifferentialEquations #Calculus #Math #Engineering #STEMEducation
