What is it? The bowl method is a styling technique used to help reduce frizz and promote juicy curl clump 👀🥣
our step-by-step:
💦 apply curl cream on clean, damp hair + brush it through, we used the @curlsmith_official weightless air dry cream + brush it through
💦 grab a bowl, fill it with water, dunk each section + scrunch
(you can use any bowl, as long as it’s large enough to fit all of your hair)
💦 scrunch in gel after for additional hold, we used the @boucleme seal + shield curl defining gel
💦 not shown on cam but you can also scrunch out any excess water and product with a microfibre towel to speed up diffusing time!
💦 we both diffused till dry — hover + pixie diffusing for max definition
I think Rachel’s convinced to do this routine more often for juicy curl clumps 🤭 have you tried this method out yet? let us know!

CUARE YOUR CURLS LOW OR HIGH MAINTENANCE?
I’m a very lazy curly girl and I cannot be bothered with sectioning, brush styling or any more time consuming styling techniques. If you can that’s great! Or if you find you need to, there’s no judgement here. You do you!
HOWEVER! Here are some tips for simple routines like the one shown!
⭐️ Style on very wet or wet hair, you won’t be able to distribute the product using these techniques on damp hair.
⭐️ Glaze the product over, at all angles before scrunching. This will ensure your hair is coated in product and also stop all the product going on only your ends.
⭐️ When scrunching, make sure you have a thin layer of gel on your hands so where you scrunch gets touched with product. Scrunch at all angles and right to the root.
⭐️ Add more water if your hair is drying out, this will help with the products spreading throughout your hair too.
⭐️ After microplopping add some more gel, a thin layer glazed over and scrunched in will give extra hold and definition.
⚠️ I diffused in this routine and generally that’s what I recommend, but you can air dry if you’d like.
❗️SOTC means Scrunch Out The Crunch and is where you remove the crispy crunch from your hair. I like to use an oil to do this.
That’s it! A simple routine for the lazy curly girl!

SAWasn’t sure if this would work on my waves 👀 but I had to try the UK’s #1 curl product.
The @umbertogiannini Curl Jelly is lightweight with a soft medium hold and my waves ate this up. I glazed it through, scrunched, micro-plopped, diffused…and look at that before & after. Zero frizz, extra shine, and way more definition than I expected.

REShe said she wanted big curly hair with a lil extra volume 😉 so after her curly cut, we styled her hair with just 2 products and diffused to style. I sprayed an anti humidity spray on her hair and yallll her curls lasted the WHOLE night she said!
