PRSpinosaurus remains one of the most controversial predators in dinosaur history. The initial idea —put forth after the discovery of more complete fossils in 2014—was that it was a fully aquatic predator, using a paddle-like tail, dense bones, and crocodile‐style jaws to hunt fish underwater. 
A 2022 study found that Spinosaurus and its close relative Baryonyx had unusually dense thigh and rib bones—structures similar to those in animals adapted for submerging in water (like penguins or manatees). This suggested these dinosaurs could dive and swim. 
However, more recent work questions this full-aquatic model. A 2023/2024 re-analysis by a team from the University of Chicago found key flaws in methods used to infer submersion ability (such as bone density analyses and the statistical model called pFDA). Their results suggest that Spinosaurus was more likely a shoreline or shallow-water hunter, wading and snatching prey rather than chasing it underwater.

Iguanodon was a real dinosaur that lived around 125 million years ago in the Early Cretaceous. In the film Dinosaur (2000), it’s shown living alongside lemur-like creatures, but that isn’t scientifically accurate.
Early primates such as lemurs didn’t appear until about 50 million years after the dinosaurs went extinct 66 million years ago, so they never coexisted.
