MIAfter a lot of big feelings and hard conversations about her super suit, this particular morning came with a win 🎉 She told me at breakfast that she’d make a deal with me and do her weekend DMO schedule. On her own terms, in her own time, she made the right decision for herself. And that brain-body correlation…that’s huge.
This is what disability parenting victories often look like. Not forcing, not fixing, but listening, compromising, and letting our kids have ownership over their bodies whenever possible 🙌
And then… we move on. Hair decisions, sibling interruptions, and so many opinions, just a very normal get-ready-with-me kind of morning.
I love sharing the hard parts, but I also love showing this side. The ordinary. The calm after the storm. The moments that remind us that disability is part of our life, not all of it 🫶
