ICE is killing people, and we’re supposed to accept it. ICE means Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and they operate inside the United States with guns, military gear, and sweeping power. And for years people have been dying because of it.
Not accidents. Not isolated incidents. A pattern since its creation in 2003.
Hundreds of people have died in ICE custody. That’s not rumor. That’s documented by journalists, civil rights groups, and the federal government itself.
People dying in detention from neglect, from untreated illness, from use of force. And it doesn’t stop behind bars. ICE raids shatter doors in the middle of the night.
Agents show up in unmarked vehicles. No clear warrants. No body cameras.
Families terrorized. People tackled, tased, shot. Sometimes later revealed to be lawfully present.
Or U.S. citizens. This is what happens when an agency is built on quotas. Fear and dehumanization.
When ICE kills someone, the response is always the same. Internal review. Ongoing investigation.
No charges. Meanwhile, communities bury their dead. Polls show more and more Americans don’t trust ICE.
And many now support abolishing it entirely. Not because they hate the law, but because they see what unchecked power does. This isn’t about immigration.
It’s about state violence. It’s about an agency that treats human beings like targets. If any other organization killed this many people with this little accountability, we’d call it what it is.
So stop asking why people are angry. Stop asking why people protest. The real question is, how many more have to die before this ends? ICE is not above accountability.

SWIf you were protesting against a government that ignores court orders, due process, horrible detention conditions, protesting for the rule of law you would of been protesting previously & so you either wouldn’t have to be protesting ICE enforcement activities now or protesting ICE would just be one focus of the ones you’ve ongoing protested NOT the primary. This post is about making excuses for your being uninformed or uncaring about how everything you’re protesting about ICE has been going on before ICE enforcement became the most visible example AND you didn’t care enough to protest when the people most effected were US citizens.
And you know how that’s true is this post on my account is not likely to get one comment. Anywhere else it’s posted very likely people are triggered to comment. Can’t wait to comment or control themselves because on most other peoples accounts they’ll get to feel like they’ve done more than enough by commenting, that they’ve done something productive. But on my account I’ll shut down their bullshit &/or use it to my advantage. So they stay silent, won’t say anything.
The only reason I’m not tired of it is because at least often I get proven correct, in silence, but proven correct.
