The Apollo Klaros Sanctuary, known as an important "prophecy center" from the end of the 13th century BC to the 4th century AD, housed the only #Doric temple built in #Ionia dedicated to #Apollo. It is one of the few sanctuaries with monumental cult statues (about 8 m high) of Apollo, #Artemis and their mother found in situ, and it is the only one that bears inscriptions everywhere, even on the steps of the Apollo Temple. As the first archeopark in Türkiye, created by the exact casts of many statues all found in the sanctuary, the Klaros Archaeological Site also houses a realistic and scale model of the #Hellenistic Temple of Apollo Klaros and its altar.
