Fitting new nozzles are not easy task in diesel engine. Understand the fact, new nozzles can deliver the mass fuel in short time (near half) compared with OEM, so the SOI must be decreased in order to get the correct pressure angle at crank. Of course you must also change the calibration maps Let me explain with one example: If OEM SOI is 10ºBTDC and duration is 20º, then (roughly) with +80% nozzles you must change SOI at 1ºBTDC and duration to 11º for reach the same EOI with same fuel mass. Explanation: +80% of 20º is 11º or 20/1.8 The above recipe is the best you can do without pressure sensor in the combustion chamber. Other people use injection center angle instead EOI, but the calculation principle is similar. #schmotorsportacademy #schmotorsport #tuningacademy #dieselpower #ecutuning

Cracked intercooler hoses, loose clamps, or small splits let compressed air escape under load. The ECU adds fuel — but oxygen never arrives. Power drops. Smoke increases. So when boost looks normal but torque feels missing, don’t blame the turbo first. Check for air loss.
