More surface area hits the air → More drag is created → The car slows down faster ⚡ At high speeds, air resistance becomes extremely powerful. When a wing suddenly tilts up, it acts almost like a parachute 🎯. You see this especially in: • Hypercars (active rear wings) • Race cars under heavy braking • Aircraft during landing ✈️ In some hypercars, the rear wing can tilt aggressively under braking, adding both: • Extra drag (air resistance) • Extra downforce on the rear wheels That means better stability while slowing down from 300+ km/h 😳🔥. INSANE CHEAT CODE!🤯 @swh_vermietung built a street-legal Porsche GT3 Cup car. It started its life as "just" a 992 GT3, but then received all the aero, suspension and brakes from the GT3 Cup. While still maintaining the stock interior with satnav, aircon and... the frunk! People that watch my vids regularly know that I do around 190 km/h through SX to be on the safe side. It felt like I was standing still on the first lap. Second lap: 213 km/h V-min and it still felt slow. We didn't go for third one because the car was running GP setup (it was there for GP-track track day), it was "just" on Cup 2's (not the R's) and there was way too much traffic. The GP setup (and my overconfidence) became apparent in Pflanzgarten 2 later and it bottomed out on landing. Sketchy moment, but a good catch showing the controllability of the car. Can't wait to repeat with Cup2 Rs on a track day with proper setup😍 #nurburgring #porsche #gt3 #gt3cup #downforce #bigwing
