GODon’t know where to begin?

Here are 5 controversial things I believe about decluttering:
1️⃣ Don’t touch it:
The second you touch something, your brain emotionally attaches to it.
That’s why I disagree with Marie Kondo. Look at the item from a distance. You don’t need to coddle your stuff.
2️⃣ “Deal with it later” spots:
That’s a slippery slope.
If you don’t revisit them, they’re just another junk drawer.
3️⃣ Decluttering is like a gym membership.
It works if you show up.
4️⃣ You don’t need more bins.
You need less stuff.
5️⃣ Some clutter is guilt in disguise. If it’s not serving you now, it’s not your job to keep it.
✋ You don’t have to agree with all of these. But after 500+ homes and thousands of hours with clients, I can tell you:
