The actual quote is: “It’s one thing to study war and another to live the warrior’s life. It’s by Telamon of Arcadia, mercenary of the fifth century B.C. who is actually a made up character in a historical fiction book by Steven Pressfield. Regardless of who came up with the quote or who said it, it rings true.  I found the quote in Pressfield’s book The War of Art: Winning the Inner Creative Battle and I highly recommend the book for anyone who takes on creative pursuits. You can read it cover to cover, and that’s all fine and well, but I recommend reading a page a day as a creative meditation of sorts. Hope you have a creative day today, and make something amazing.
