At 60 and after a lifetime of being active more than ever before I need to challenge my body in as many different ways as possible. (Español en el 1er comentario). I do weight training at the gym and yoga at home and own other equipment I also use. Here are just four basic at pieces of gear I love and why. 1.- Small Pilates Ball - mainly to work out my core but as I’m demonstrating here I can also work out my chest and booty. 2.- Exercise bands - I came back to these as I started Physical Therapy a year ago for my torn rotator cuff. I find that resistance band training helps me stay pain-free. 3.- Dumbells - I use barbells at the gym but at home I’m content with dumbbells of various weights. There is nothing cheaper and more effective to prevent the muscle loss that comes with ageing. 4.- Inversion chair - I hit it when I couldn’t get on my hands for handstands during ny rotator cuff injury. I still use it for inversions and core work. Avoid it if you have high blood pressure and certain eye issues like glaucoma. This one is @feetup And of course I have several yoga mats.
