This is the biggest secret and hidden gem of Egypt 💖 Save it for your next trip & follow @justtravelli for more Egypt travel tips 🫶🏼 This is the beautiful Temple of Khnum in📍Esna so if you’re travelling to Luxor definitely dedicate an entire day to visiting Esna & Edfu as they are both breathtaking! 🏛️ The temple was preserved so beautifully since the hypostyle hall you can see in the video was built relatively late in the Ptolemaic period, and also, it was preserved under about 9m of sand and debris accumulated over 15 centuries! ⏳ It was dedicated to Khnum, a ram headed god of fertility and creation who was said to have formed mankind on his potter wheel at the beginning of time 🐏 Although it is usually not part of any day trips or even full itineraries it is fairly close to Luxor so you can always hire a private driver to take you there! 🚙 Egypt | Travel | Esna | Temple of Khnum | Ancient Egypt | travel tips #visitegypt #esna #esnatemple

Warna aslinya bahkan masih ada walaupun kuil ini udah terkubur ratusan tahun. Kuil ini didedikasikan buat Dewa Khnum, dewa yang dipercaya membentuk manusia dari tanah liat. Dan yang lebih unik, dibangunnya di era Romawi, tapi gaya dan simbolnya tetap Mesir kuno banget. Bahkan kaisar Romawi digambarkan kayak Firaun. Sekarang posisinya malah lebih rendah dari jalan kota modern. Jadi kalau lo berdiri di atasnya, lo lagi lihat sejarah yang literally terkubur waktu. Kadang kita mikir keajaiban itu cuma piramida. Il a encore son plafond (contrairement à Karnak) et toutes les fresques sont encore colorées. C’est magnifique à voir ! Le temple est dédié au dieu Khnoum et il est resté sous une couche de crasse pendant 2000 ans. Fou non ? 🕞 timing : essayez de venir avant 17h c’est la ou toutes les croisières viennent visiter et ça gâche vraiment le plaisir. 🚗 Comment aller visiter le temple d’Esna ? • le plus simple est de prendre un chauffeur privé qui devrait vous faire l’aller retour pour maxi 40€ . • il est possible de se rendre en train jusqu’à Esna puis de prendre un tuk tuk. Si c’est l’option que vous retenez, on vous conseille de prendre le train AC et d’insister pour acheter votre billet à la gare de Luxor et non dans le train (et éviter de vous mettre dans une drôle de situation) Cependant, notez que ce trajet n’est pas habituel.
