How do you make your 5 am morning routine a habit?! Here’s 3 points that helped me turn my 5am ideation into reality… ✨1. You have to create a purpose, not just a plan. A habit sticks when it has a purpose behind it. Decide why you’re waking up early. Maybe it’s to spend time with God, steward your health, or to prepare your mind before the day gets loud. Purpose fuels consistency. As someone who wakes up at 5 am consistently, I truly think what get’s me up is the purpose behind it, not just the plan. ✨2. Remove the morning friction. Set out your Bible, journal, gym clothes, water bottle —whatever supports the morning you’re trying to build. Pair something you “have to do” with something you ”get to do”… if in your mind you “have to start getting up at 5 am” then pair it with the mindset that once you do wake up “you get to spend time with God” and “make time for the gym” !! ✨3. Anchor your morning in one non-negotiable habit. Choose one simple thing you always do in the morning, whether it’s praying, reading a Psalm, drinking a cup of water, or stretching… let that anchor be what trains your body to rise early!! How to actually wake up early in the winter months my number one tip is to have your morning planned out. Because if you have nothing planned there’s no point in waking up early. Have either a workout class planned a workout or if you want extra alone time and want to take the time to journal or read or get some extra work in. Whatever you have planned the next morning it’ll help you get out of bed this morning I was taking my dad to the airport which motivated me to get out of bed but if I have nothing planned I will be sleeping in. So plan your mornings☀️☀️☀️☀️

Caffeine resembles adenosine, a chemical that makes us feel tired, and binds to the same receptors. Normally, adenosine binding to its receptors induces sleepiness, but caffeine intake interferes with this natural process. Since caffeine has a half-life of 5 to 8 hours, it’s advisable to avoid caffeine consumption after 2 PM. 2. Increase Daytime Activity: Have you ever noticed feeling sluggish and unable to sleep after spending a day indoors, maybe reading or using your smartphone, without engaging in physical activities? Our brains don’t signal the body to rest unless they perceive fatigue. Therefore, incorporating activities like a 20-30 minute early walk or more active learning, especially for students, can be beneficial. 3. Avoid Using Phones One Hour Before Bed: Exposure to blue light from screens can release dopamine in the brain, keeping you awake. My time, my energy, my resources, my health… all for His glory!! ✨ Strength — 5am mornings aren’t just about building physical muscle, it’s about building healthy disciplines too. ✨Stillness *essential* — Spending time with Jesus and in His Word is a non-negotiable for me.
