BEInspired by my friend @courtneys.table’s Holy Week table settings (you need to go check out her series — seriously so beautiful!) I chose to do a Christ Centered Easter table setting last year.
I have felt inspired to try and celebrate Easter season in a holier way, including in the way I decorate. This was a fun departure from the colored eggs and bunnies (which I also love!), to help keep my focus on Jesus Christ and the reason we celebrate.
The olive branches on the table remind us of the Garden of Gethsemane, the grove of olive trees, where Jesus began his intercession for our sins as our redeemer. The olive branch is also a symbol of peace. The small bud vases of oil represent the blood he spilt on our behalf. The simple linen and wood textures and the low light of the faux candles harken to the last supper, and the cross at Calvary. “All things denote there is a Christ!”
I was surprised at how much this simple table setting set the tone for our Easter dinner. It felt more reverent and respectful of the holiday. I loved the feeling and spirit it brought into our meal. 🤍
I purchased the faux olive branches specifically for this table setting, but the rest were things I already had on hand. Always pull everything out to see what you have first!
