Celebrate Easter with us by sharing your tradition below or perhaps….consider starting the Easter bread tradition XO Babs 🐣INGREDIENTS: 1 - 1⁄4 oz pkg instant dry yeast 11⁄4 cups whole milk,warmed Pinch of kosher salt 1⁄3 cup unsalted butter, room temperature 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar 1⁄2 tsp pure vanilla extract 1 tsp lemon zest 3 large eggs, room temperature, divided 31⁄2–41⁄2 cups all-purpose flour, divided Sprinkles, to decorate 6 raw, dyed Easter eggs 🐣INSTRUCTIONS: To the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the yeast, milk, salt, butter, sugar, vanilla, lemon zest, and 2 eggs. Mix on medium speed until combined. Switch to the dough hook attachment. Add 13⁄4 cups flour and mix, working the our into the egg mixture. Mix in more our, a little at a time, until the dough is no longer sticky, up to 23⁄4 cups more flour.XO Babs Turn the dough onto a lightly floured work surface and knead it for 1 to 2 minutes. Place in a lightly greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Place the dough in a warm spot to rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour. Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 14 inches long and 1 inch wide. Take two ropes and twist together. Then with the twist, form a circle. Repeat to make 6 circle “wreaths.” Place the wreaths on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover with plastic wrap, place in a warm spot, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 egg with 1 teaspoon water. After the wreaths have doubled in size, brush with the egg wash. Sprinkle with the sprinkles. Place a dyed egg in the center of each wreath. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the wreath is golden brown. #easter #easterbread

Happy Weekend friends! Easter Bread Ingredients 2 1/4 tsp dry yeast 1 1/2 cups milk 5 cups flour 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1 pinch of salt 2 eggs+1 egg yolk 1/2 cup butter (1 stick-113 g) 1 orange zest (optional) 1 tsp mahlab (optional) 1 tbsp vanilla extract 1/2 cup raisin 1/2 cup sliced almonds For Egg Wash: 1 egg 1 tsp vegetable oil Instructions In a bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup warm milk, yeast, and a pinch of sugar and let it rest until fluffy for 5-7 min. In a large bowl of a stand mixer or in a large bowl put flour, remaining milk, sugar, salt, eggs, and the foamed yeast. Mix until combined for about 3-4 minutes. Then, cover it with a cloth or plastic wrap and let it rest at room temperature for 8-10 minutes. After that, knead the dough by stand mixer or hand. Add room temperature butter, vanilla, and orange zest to the dough and continue to knead for 12-15 minutes. (If you want you can add the raisins and sliced almonds at this time but I add them when shaping the dough since I made one plain and one raisin bread). Transfer the dough to a large oiled bowl and cover with a plastic wrap or kitchen cloth and let it rest in a warm place until doubled in size for around 1 1/2- 2 hours. Place the dough onto a lightly floured surface and divide the dough into equal two pieces. Using a rolling pin or your hand, roll out each dough into a small rectangle, then add raisins and sliced almonds, fold and shape the dough as in the IG Reel. Cut each piece into 3 equal pieces, gently roll out each piece into 16"-long strips (To make a more aesthetically pleasing bread, make the ends of the strip thinner and the middle part a little thick as in the IG reel.) Place the strips by side lengthwise and braid strips together and pinch the top ends. Repeat all these steps with the other piece. Transfer the breads onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, cover them with a kitchen towel, and let it rest for 40-50 min at room temp. Preheat the oven to 350F. In a small bowl, beat the eggs and the oil together. Brush each bread with the egg wash, sprinkle with sliced almonds, and bake for 25-30 min until golden brown. Serve warm. Bon Appétit!

Sourdough Easter Bunny 🐇 This looks so cute on the breakfast table for Easter 💛 🐰 I used the Artisan White Bread recipe from my ebook Mastering the Art of Gluten-Free Sourdough Baking. 🐰 Make the dough according to the recipe. 🐰 For the tail, take 15 g of dough and shape it into a ball. For the front paws, shape two 20 g pieces of dough into balls. Place the dough balls on a small plate, cover, and let them proof. 🐰 Shape the remaining dough into an oval and proof it in a banneton. 🐰 Once the dough has finished proofing, assemble the bread bunny as shown in the video. 🐰 Bake at the same temperature and for the same amount of time as specified in the recipe. The ears and tail will brown more quickly than the rest, so cover them with small pieces of aluminum foil to prevent burning. #glutenfreesourdough #breadbunny #easterbread #breadart #sourdough

To the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the yeast, milk, salt, butter, sugar, vanilla, lemon zest, and 2 eggs. Mix on medium speed until combined. 2.
