CADepois de 2 anos, eu consegui voltar a estudar.
Precisei me afastar das aulas por complicações da Neuralgia do Trigêmeo e da Espondilite Anquilosante. Meu corpo e minha mente não aguentavam mais — e eu precisei parar o que mais amo fazer: estudar. Nesse período, passei por um tratamento chamado ECT (eletroconvulsoterapia), usado em casos graves de depressão. Ele aplica uma corrente elétrica no cérebro para ajudar a tratar a doença, mas um dos efeitos colaterais é a perda de memória, principalmente a memória recente.
Hoje, enquanto assistia à aula da pós-graduação, percebi o impacto que isso teve. Mesmo assim, tô aqui… tentando, um pouco de cada vez, conciliar meu amor pelos estudos com a minha saúde. Eu não queria ter parado, mas precisei. Agora tô voltando, no meu ritmo.

CEECT não “apaga memórias”. Ela pode estimular neuroplasticidade.
Um dos caminhos mais estudados é o aumento do BDNF — uma proteína ligada à sobrevivência dos neurônios, formação de novas conexões e adaptação cerebral ao estresse. Em quadros de depressão grave, o BDNF pode estar reduzido. Após um curso de ECT, meta-análises recentes mostram tendência de aumento do BDNF periférico, sugerindo que parte do efeito terapêutico pode envolver formação de novos caminhos neurais e reorganização funcional do cérebro. Mas atenção: isso não significa cura automática, e BDNF no sangue não mede perfeitamente o que acontece dentro do cérebro. A ciência aponta plasticidade, não mágica.
