ENReading data from the ECU can be a pretty easy thing at times when we read it through the OBD port or Through a pinout connection but at times some ECU’S are quite hard to read data from.
This DENSO ECU in this particular video is from a 2008 Toyota Innova Diesel! This customer wanted our custom Stage 1+ ECU Remap and we were more than happy to give him the best map possible. When we tried to read this denso ECU none of our tools had a pinout or OBD protocol so we had to access the data through boot mode.
Now what is boot mode you may ask ? Boot mode is a type of read/write method used to access data from the ECU by bypassing the security chip. This is done by soldering or connecting ground pins to the board Directly!
This particular Denso ECU only had a boot read/write protocol available so we had no other choice than to open the ECU and solder the wires to the board!
After obtaining the read @Wolfmotoperformance did their magic and sent us a super strong and linear , power everywhere -Stage 1+ ECU Remap file! After writing the map onto the ECU the car completely transformed! The low end improved by a huge margin and mid range was really strong, and we now have a top end which was non existent earlier. Revv clean to 4500 .. Brakes to be upgraded for sure.
