👀 We usually end up putting so much time editing but a lot of it is because of overthinking and over analyzing every small detail. Yes those are important too but not always! We decided to do this fun (for you) challenge where we would get only 2 minutes to edit a photo!
🙈 I do not guarantee that you will like the end result but I do think you will find it fun and inspiring and hope you will try this out yourself too!

You know when tourists are in the background of your shot? I’ve seen video tutorials on how to erase the tourists... but thought it’d be fun to think we could actually use the tourists to make the shot more interesting
I made this video for Insta360 for their new gimbal that just came out today - the Insta360 Flow Pro. I’m glad they reached out to me for the launch because now having tried it, it is legitimately a very useful piece of gear that I’m proud to recommend
Shooting Tips:
Shot 1 — We used “lock mode” by holding down on the trigger, which keeps the phone steady
Shot 2 — You can either use the built in dolly zoom setting in the app, which will auto-zoom for you. Or you can shoot with the native camera if you want more control in the edit. One very cool thing about this new gimbal is that works with the native iPhone camera - it can even track and follow your face. Which means you don’t have to open up a gimbal-specific app.
Shot 3 — Press the trigger once and it will lock focus and follow your movements. Even if someone else crosses in front of you, it will stay locked on you, which is useful when you’re getting shots in crowded areas. One of the features of the new gimbal is that it can rotate a full 360 degrees, so I wanted to take advantage of that for this shot.
Editing Tips:
Shoutout to @ryanchriscreates who did an incredible job editing these. There are 2 main techniques he used in After Effects:
1) Motion Blur - he added motion blur to all the people to make the shots more dramatic
2) 2-Point tracker - he further stabilized each shot by using the 2-point tracker
We recommend the tutorial “Hyperlapse Dolly Zoom Tutorial - No More Warp Stabilizer” by @ant.rubinstein if you want to learn the editing technique

LUTs help you set a predefined look for a specific visual feeling, increase the speed at which you can color grade, and become a reference point to develop your unique style.
The preset color looks I’ve developed enhance visual clarity, boost color vibrancy, and create a balanced interplay between light and shadow.
In the bottom clip, I applied custom values to boost brightness, saturation, brilliance, sharpness, and shadows while slightly reducing the temperature to enhance the sunset mood in a RAW file. The LUTs provided will help you replicate this atmosphere in your sunset clips, streamlining your grading process. They also include HSL adjustments that emphasize warm tones for added impact:
The orange saturation is increased to make warm hues vivid, while blue and aqua tones are saturated at 80 and 50, enhancing any cold elements in the frame. Purple is desaturated and shifted slightly in hue for a softer, more controlled balance, while green saturation remains subtle at 20 for a natural accent.
Your camera settings are also essential for achieving the best results with the LUTs. I recommend following the 180-degree shutter rule to create a cinematic look:
30 fps with a 1/60 shutter speed
24 fps with a 1/50 shutter speed
60 fps with a 1/120 shutter speed
Lastly, if you edit using Premiere Pro, use the following export settings:
Format: H.265
Resolution: 1080x1920
Target Bitrate: 13
Render at maximum quality.
For optimal uploading to social media platforms like Instagram, export your file in MOV format while keeping the file size under 15 MB.” 🎥
