Dear Instagram, Send me the teachers who’ve evolved. The ones who remember clip charts and pizza parties for compliance… and then paused and thought, “Wait. There has to be a better way.” The teachers who: • teach regulation before reprimand • believe behavior is communication • hold high expectations without humiliation • build classrooms that feel human • still make learning fun — on purpose We don’t teach perfectly. We teach intentionally. If you’ve unlearned some things and rebuilt your classroom with dignity first… Follow along. You’re in the right corner of the internet. #TeachersSupportingTeachers #SpecialEducationTeacher #NeurodiversityAffirming #SPEDLife #TeacherCommunity

When adults align at IEP or 504 meetings, parent teacher conferences or grade level/ department meetings, students are the ones that ultimately win. Alignment doesn’t mean you are in agreement with parents, colleagues or service providers. 🌟What alignment means is that the meeting is focused on the student and what is ultimately best for them. 🌟Alignment allows for students to be at the center of every conversation. ❤️Comment or like if you agree! #specialeducationteacher #teacher #teachersofinstagram #studentswithdisabilities #studentsuccess

No one hands new teachers a blueprint. Most of what actually matters: structure, systems, sustainability, gets learned through experience. After 11 years in the classroom, I can confidently say this: Clarity beats charisma. Systems beat stress. And refining the environment changes everything. The same principles apply to students. When instruction is intentional and tailored, confidence grows. That’s the foundation of my tutoring work: individualized support in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning designed to fit the student. I’m opening a limited number of summer tutoring spots for families who want that kind of intentional support. If this resonated, save it, share it, or reach out. I’m always happy to connect. #education #teachers #parents #teacherlife #adhd

Independence is where hidden barriers show up. Guided work can mask cognitive load. Teacher proximity can compensate for processing gaps. Support can quietly carry what isn’t automatic yet. When that support is removed, the breakdown becomes visible. That’s not defiance. That’s data. If this kind of reframing resonates, follow along. We talk about what’s underneath the struggle. #inclusiveeducation #SpecialEducation #ExecutiveFunctioning #Neurodiversity #TeacherLife

Have you ever felt forgetten? Being a special ed teacher is meaningful work, but it can also feel isolating. From teacher appreciation gifts to PTA events to district emails, special education staff are often overlooked. Yet the impact we make in meetings, behavior support plans, and student growth is powerful and lasting. If you work in special education, or support students with disabilities, you matter!!! You are not invisible here!! #SpecialEducation #SpecialEdTeacher #IEP #InclusiveEducation #TeacherLife
