The 6-Step Framework to Make Better Decisions Every Time Here’s the truth about decision-making: it doesn’t happen in your head. The fastest way to get unstuck is to get it on paper (or a screen). Start by defining your outcomes-what you actually want. The challenge? You want a lot of things. That’s why ruthless prioritization matters. When you rank what’s most important and put it in order, clarity replaces confusion. Next, explore your options. No option is still a choice, and two options create a dilemma. Then comes consequences-weigh the upside and downside of each path. But don’t stop there. Evaluate what matters most and the probability of each outcome. Eliminate what clearly won’t meet your needs so you’re not wasting energy on the wrong moves. Finally, resolve and act. Even if the decision isn’t perfect, action reveals the truth faster than overthinking. Most “impossible” problems aren’t solved in one move-pieces from different options combine into a better solution. Decide, take massive action, and let momentum do the rest. #decisionmaking #mindsetshift #personaldevelopment #successhabits #clarity #selfimprovement #entrepreneurmindset #growthmindset #productivity #lifeskills #reelsviral #instagramreels #motivation #leadership #tonyrobbins #motivationalspeakers #motivationalpage #decision #betterlife

Making decisions can be HARD, hopefully this can help ↴ I’m currently in the middle of sitting with a big decision and figured I’d show you my process and what helps me. Step 1: write out columns for each option you’re considering and then make pros and cons columns within each. Step 2: write your pros and cons for each option stream of conscious. It’s okay if this is scattered, just write them down as they come up. *Pro tips: → Pay attention to how your body feels with particular pros or cons. Does your stomach drop like mine did, or does your heart skip a beat (in a good way)? Take note of these so you don’t forget. → Also notice which order you naturally write your pros and cons in. If you start filling out the cons list on an option, notice that and take note of it. This may be signaling to you that you’re already leaning a particular way subconsciously (which may be a helpful data point to consider). Step 3: write down your priorities and values. This can help you get clarity on what’s the most important to you when making a decision and keep it top of the mind as you’re looking over the pros and cons you have listed. *I also keep note of particular pros and cons that are more important to me than others by highlighting them or putting a special symbol next to them so I can visually see it at quick glance. Give this a shot, and let me know how it goes in the comments! #decisionmaking #decisionmakingskills #harddecisions #holistichealing #holisticbusinesscoach #holisticbusiness

Here’s why you don’t want to leave important decisions to the end of the day…⁣ Each morning, we wake up with a finite amount of willpower (which some call the ‘active self’). ⁣ ⁣ With every decision that we make throughout the day, and with all the stressors we face, this willpower (our ‘active self’) is depleted bit by bit. This is commonly known as ‘ego depletion’. ⁣ ⁣ By the time we get to the evening, especially if it’s been a highly stressful day, or we’re had to make a lot of complex decisions, our cup is usually near empty. ⁣ ⁣ This could lead to: ⁣ – difficulty making the right decisions, ⁣ – struggling to weigh up trade-offs between two or more options, ⁣ – impulse buying, or ⁣ –other avoidance behaviors. ⁣ ⁣ So now it makes sense why you can make complex decisions at work just fine, yet struggle to decide what to have for dinner 🥘 - I speak from experience here… :😛 ⁣ So, where possible, save the complex and important decisions to the following morning when your cup of willpower has been restored, your battery recharged and your ‘active self’ replenished. ⁣ ⁣ As an aside, a really interesting study in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology found cultural differences when it came to willpower and this concept of ego depletion (Savani & Job, 2017). American participants found exerting willpower depleting, whereas Indian participants found it energizing. So there could be a cultural factor at play, perhaps relating to underlying beliefs or socialisation.⁣ ⁣ What do you think about this? Have you experienced it? 👇⁣ Share your thoughts in the comments!⁣ ⁣ ⁣ (As an aside, I made quite the mess with this video - water was all over the floor hah! 💧)⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Savani, K., & Job, V. (2017). Reverse ego-depletion: Acts of self-control can improve subsequent performance in Indian cultural contexts. Sometimes the right decision is still the hardest one you’ll ever make. Pain doesn’t mean you made a mistake. It means you were brave enough to do something that mattered. Something that cost you. And the things that cost you the most are usually the ones that change you the deepest. Pain is temporary … and who you’re becoming on the other side isn’t . 🤍 #mindset #growth #selfimprovement #psychology #pain
