NOEmma Watson (born April 15, 1990) is a British actress, model, and activist who gained international fame for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series. Born in Paris, France, and raised in Oxfordshire, England, she attended the Dragon School and later trained in acting at the Stagecoach Theatre Arts. Watson made her professional acting debut in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001), which became a major critical and commercial success, leading her to reprise the role in all eight Harry Potter films until 2011.
