SUAnti-fascists from all over Lancashire came to support Blackpool locals today to defend refugees and oppose the racism.
We began in St John’s Square with a solidarity demo attended by numerous local trade unions, then joined the counter-protest outside the Metropole Hotel housing asylum seekers.
We outnumbered them all afternoon. They chanted racist slogans in the name of protecting women - while harassing and violently attacking women on our side. At least 1 racist was arrested for aggressive behaviour.
Solidarity to comrades up and down the country who also outnumbered the far right today. Britain is anti-fascist ✊
