SAI had a chance to test the NEW AERO 28 pack from @hyperlite_mountain_gear and I’m so impressed. This pack combines the hydration and fuel accessibility of a trail running vest with the gear storage of a backpacking pack.
This pack is perfect for me: a trail runner who hikes with family and friends. I’ve been missing the vest accessibility and front pockets my trail vest have, but as the Mama-Sherpa I’ve got to carry lunch and extra layers (like pants puffy jackets) for myself and the kiddos (they have small hydration packs that fits snacks and one light layer). My trail vests just aren’t big enough, especially when you’re dealing with the variable weather conditions of the White Mountains.
With the AERO 28, I have easy access to my fuel and hydration and the stuff sack expands to hold everything we need.

⭐️ Nice snug fit.
⭐️ Compatible with my soft flasks (Salomon and Ultimate Direction). ⭐️ Zippered key pocket is 👌🏻
I wish I’d had this for my fast packing Presi-Traverse, it would have been perfect!
