🔥Saying “Substack is just for writers” is like when we said, “Facebook is just for college students”. Sure, that may have been how it started but look at what it evolved into. The same is true for Substack. Substack is for ANYONE with a pulse and a passion or story they want to share with others. Because whether you realize it or not, someone out there desperately needs to hear what you have to say and what you have to share. I started my Substack “The Finishing School Blog” in March 2024 when I took the notes I was jotting down in an old notebook about my needlepoint projects, and put them out into the world. While I was growing my community on Substack, there was SO much I *painfully* learned along the way. Things that would have saved me TONS of time, money and creative energy had I known them sooner . Things I knew would help others too. The footnotes I needed to grow my publication with clarity and confidence. And so I created “The Footnote” - a 122 page PDF filled with every single thing I wish would have known when I was building & growing my Substack, to empower others to do the same.
