We welcomed Banx to the team yesterday 💫 Banx has been gifted to us by her very caring owner who wanted to find her a forever home that would be able to provide the type of support she needs to keep her sound and happy in her body. I do love a rehab case 🫣🤭 and she has come to us in fantastic condition with x rays and reports following investigation so will be a matter of making a few tweaks to keep her comfortable with low level work long term. Luckily I have a fantastic farrier, vet and physio team to on board as well as lots of knowledge with body issues and rehab skills. Slowly but surely the mares are taking over 🤭🤭🥰 #rehab #mare #horse #rider #horseriding

Rehab isn’t just physical… it’s mental too. 🐎🤍 Some days it feels like we’re making progress, other days it feels like we’re back at the beginning. Watching a horse you love go through recovery is harder than people realise — the patience, the doubt, the constant wondering if you’re doing the right thing. But we keep showing up. I’ve officially been cleared to start riding starting next week! The collar bone still needs to finish healing but it’s in a much better growth state than week 5. The foot is on a journey with its new home being the walking boot. I have a lisfranc tear in my foot ligament, which will just take a bit more time to heal. In case you were wondering… yes that’s the remainder of the round bale that somehow got rolled out from under the lean to…. And Ty is very appreciative of the comfy hay bed it made for him to sleep on. I took the hay net off the other day as it had been eaten down quite well and since I hadn’t been able to get the net completely around the bale it wasn’t working as designed. So next round bale we will truly test the hay net. But, for while it was being used it did really seam to help! #horses #sleepyhorse #pony #apha
