We spend all week pouring into our little learners. If we walk in on a Monday morning feeling behind, we’re starting from an empty cup. Planning today is my way of giving ‘Monday me’ a high-five. A little structure today means more time for the fun stuff - like building block towers and reading stories - instead of scrambling for supplies while a toddler pulls on your leg. #eyfs #earlyyearsprofessionals #childminder #childcareprofessionals #ukeducation

For children who thrive on routine, predictability, and familiarity, March Break isn’t always a “break.” It’s a sudden shift: • different wake-up times • less structure • new expectations • more transitions And for some nervous systems, that feels like uncertainty, not freedom. A supportive approach: Instead of removing structure completely, try soft structure. That might look like: • keeping one anchor point each day (morning routine, meal time, bedtime) • previewing the day together in simple language • naming changes before they happen Reflection for parents: ➡️What parts of our regular routine help my child feel most settled? ➡️What changes tend to create the most stress for them? ➡️How can I offer flexibility without removing all familiarity? March Break doesn’t need to be perfectly planned. It just needs enough predictability to help kids feel safe. I’ve got you and I believe in you! 💛

A little recap from our final sessions of the January Postnatal Course around Hertfordshire 💛 What a brilliant way to wrap up the term with so much support, wisdom and practical advice for our mums. Our Motherhood Wellbeing session in Berkhamsted was hosted by the incredible Suzy Reading @suzyreading. Suzy is an author and Chartered Psychologist who has written 10 books and is one of the UK’s leading voices on self-care. With her background in psychology, plus a decade of experience as a yoga teacher and PT, Suzy brings such a lovely whole-person approach – supporting mums from the head, heart and body. In Hertford, we were joined by Ali @physio4you_rehabilitation for our Baby Play & Development session (part of the Plus course). Ali is a specialist paediatric physiotherapist with loads of experience supporting babies and children. Ali shared lots of practical tips the mums could try straight away, and answered so many thoughtful questions. It’s always such a helpful session for building confidence around baby development. In Hitchin - A big focus on mum. First up was Jo, @the_motherhood_movement who ran our Postnatal Exercise session for the Plus course mums. The session included some fun and gentle movements the mums could try to ease back into exercise. Jo is a women’s health specialist PT, Nutritionist and Pilates instructor who has been supporting women with their bodies and wellbeing for 16 years. On the baby course the Bally @liddertherapies talking to the mums about pelvic health, C-section recovery and Mummy MOTs. Bally is a specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapist and Acupuncturist and runs her clinic in Hitchin and Hertford. Her session is always packed with useful information and reassurance. Finally, in Harpenden we were joined by the lovely Amy, mum of two, former circus acrobat and owner of @thelittlegymharpenden. Amy runs our baby development and play session for both the Baby and Plus courses. During the session she shared her expertise on the importance of early movement and showed ways to support babies as they work towards those exciting milestones – sitting, crawling, standing and walking.
