BENow, I know that:
My identity must be found in Christ first and foremost. (Col 3:3–4; 1 Cor 1:10–17)
I don’t need a bargaining chip with God; I am His child and need only to ask. (Matt 7:7–11; Rom 8:15–17’ 26–28)
Christ in me is ultimately what separates me from the world, good deeds and genuine love will be an outflow of that relationship—a dress code can never accomplish that separation. (1 Pet 2:9–12; Matt 5:43–47; Jn 13:35)
Spiritual maturity is a work that God does inside of me as I study His Word and apply it to my life. The biblical evidence of this work is the fruit of the Spirit. Maturity will influence clothing choices, but no clothing choice can ensure maturity. (Gal 5:16–24)
Being biblically modest means to have a sense of shame/self-control (αἰδώς) and/or to be respectable and well-ordered (κόσμιος). There’s no biblical reason to believe that only skirts will be worn by modest women. (2 Tim 2:9)
By believing on Christ in faith, I am accepted by God. It’s wrong for other believers to require me to follow extra-biblical rules in order to be treated as an equal in Christ—I don’t need their acceptance. (Rom 10:9–13; Gal 2:2–3:3)
I can’t earn God’s love, and I most certainly can’t earn it through extra-biblical rules. He’s already given it to me freely. (Jn 3:16; Rom 5:8–11)
According to Scripture, I am a light to the world when I serve others, love others, have Christlike character, and verbally share the gospel—there’s nothing about wearing a uniform. (Matt 5:14–16; 28:19–20; Jn 13:35; Phi 2:14–16)
Holiness is Christ in me. As He transforms me into His image, I will act more and more holy like Him. No dress code can shortcut this process. (Eph 2:1–10; Rom 3:21–31; Heb 12:10; 1 Thess 3:11–13)
