FOIL Method breaks it down:
First: Multiply the first terms in each binomial.
Outer: Multiply the outer terms.
Inner: Multiply the inner terms.
Last: Multiply the last terms.
Then add everything together.
Example: (x + 3)(x + 4)
F: x times x equals x squared
O: x times 4 equals 4x
I: 3 times x equals 3x
L: 3 times 4 equals 12
Final answer: x squared plus 7x plus 12
