🍎THIS WAY OF FOILING THE BACK HAS SPED UP MY FOIL TIME: 1) You can weave or slice this technique. I prefer to weave with sliced tip outs. 2) The first foil at the base of the nape can be a weave and tease. I like to do this because it creates a “cushion” aka a smooth transition for when your clients hair is up in a ponytail. 3) All foils are on a diagonal but as you near the top of the head, the last two foils should be vertical and not diagonal. Don’t worry about this looking harsh because you are leaving hair in between. Essentially when doing this technique on both sides of the head the last two foils on either side should kiss one another and be parallel to each other. 4) Teasing 101: Paint up into the tease to ensure softness. The double wrapping is clutch because the scalp is our heat source. Tip outs are the farthest away from the scalp. Only up to around 40% of the slice is what you’re getting in your foil. Move that stitch away from the scalp and boom: you’re able to catc 50-60% of the hair instead. ⚡️ That means, less foils to get the same impact of light in the hair in less time spend! ⏩💰 Or… Same number of foils. Same time spent. But a much lighter, more impactful result. 💪🏻 It’s not about one being more right than the other.
