METhings I want to shout from the rooftops: Don’t get your medical advice from influencers.
Follower count does not equal credible source.
There’s a movement happening online and healthcare providers are being encouraged to speak up.
Because misinformation spreads faster than facts.
And influencers aren’t qualified to advise people on health.
Let’s be real for a second. Instagram isn’t my job. My job is patient care. I spend my days practicing medicine, treating patients, figuring out what actually works... and then I share what I’ve learned here.
I don’t chase trends. I don’t post things just to get likes or go viral. I post because it matters, because there’s already way too much misinformation out there, and it spreads like wildfire.
My goal here is simple: real medicine, real information, no fluff, no shortcuts.

Here’s a reminder. Follower count is a terrible gauge of success and/or quality of character. I had millions of views and hundreds of thousands of followers…I still wasn’t making money. Empathy doesn’t do anything to change the situation. Sometimes it’ll just reinforce staying the same.

BYPosting this because people see the final version, the published work, and they see something like my follower count and assume “oh of course he’s published, this is easy for him”.
You have no idea how demoralizing the submission process is for an author. The missed windows, the rejections, the “who do you know” aspect of all of this. The smaller the niche the more impossible it seems to get seen.
Yes, self-publishing is an option, but it doesn’t open the same doors. It doesn’t provide the same inroads of opportunity.
Anyways, I’m going to be very in my feelings today.
