LIThe Immortal IXth - BLOOD ANGELS
I’ve been waiting for this one. My first and truest love the Blood Angels. I started the army around book iii anticipated my beloved angels would see a full release in the upcoming Angelus book.
I’m not sure what I’d do now if I were to collect the angels again. The first army was themed around the siege of terra, the last line holding against the inevitable fall. It was a patch work army of units and left over parts from commission - because in all honesty I couldn’t afford a full train Forge World army.
Now, I’d look to be more specific. A cohort themed around the inner household of Sanguinius - Sanguinary Guard, Dawn Breakers - elite and fast.
Or
An army themed around the first chapter master of the Revenant Legion - the shadow of the legions past, a time better left forgotten. A force of a time when a curse trailed the immortal IXth that was never spoken in ear shot - that of Vampire.

HEIt has arrived! It's not easy to get hold of genuine ones anymore. This one came with original MailOrder box, instruction leaflet and all the little bonus features from Forge World I had on all of my other ones. Still a lovely model. Taking care of it hopefully towards the end of the year.

JAVery quick work on these three Riptides this weekend. I think it was approximately 9 hours in total, something rare on me 🐌. Used oil washes, which is a technique I don’t use normally and, oh boy, it was fun!
Two of them are Forge World converted old models, so they can be still used in the current edition with the right equipment, while adding a bit more of variation.
As I love the models, I guess at some point I will come back to add some extra details, like white helmets and so on. But for now it’s enough for this purpose ⚔️ 🎲

TH#throwbackthursday almost ten years ago this coming together of three lots of #HouseTaranis Knights was the first Knight Muster and creation of the #TaranisOwnersClub (8/2/15)
It was also the first public appearance of Iracundos with its working speaker system which added a little something to the proceedings.
This occasion was witnessed by Forge World Illumini and Black Library authors and other notable members of the Horus Heresy community.
A great day indeed.

WAToday I have been made aware of my beloved Scythed Hierodule’s retirement to Legends. Our competitive days together may be over but I’ll always cherish the memories of the biomass we’ve consumed for the Hive. Goodnight my sweet bulky prince, you will be missed.
It’s seems to be confirmed that another two Forge World Tyranid models will not be supported. This guy was a cool center piece I ran for some time in my early Tyranid lists. He has a nasty acid flamer that auto hits with 3D6 at S6 -2 1d and a quad set of scything talons attacking 10 times at S14 -2 D3+3d. Not only that, he’s a massive tank at T12 2+ 18W made especially tough with the 5+FNP stratagem from invasion fleet. Your opponent can’t afford to ignore him.
Sad to see him go and I hope we will get a nice bulky new monster to replace him and the Dimachaeron with. @warhammerofficial

This guy was part of a commission for a client who approached me to bring the forge world of Stygies viii to life on the tabletop.
For those of you that haven’t heard of this awesome forge world it borders on the heretical by experimenting with Xenos tech in an ever increasing drive to break into the black library.
This leads them into conflict with many flavours of Aeldari and so the client wanted me to kitbash some xeno tech into them.
This guy was the HQ in the combat patrol and I “installed” lol a careers head as a servo skull. The tech preist has kept his hand on a staff as well in attempts to break into the webway more efficiently.
The model also features some wire lightning and a 3d printed psychic effect which I have glazed to be bluish.
Super thrilled with these guys and can’t wait to see more of the weird corners of 40k
