CALet’s create a leaf monoprint 🌿
These leaf monoprints are so playful and nostalgic because they remind me of crafts we did when we were kids. This is such a fun process, and I love going outside to look for the perfect leaves to use, especially now since the weather is warming up.
In my YouTube tutorial, I’ll show you 3 ways you can create beautiful, detailed monoprints using full and skeleton leaves. I use different types of paper and a variety of inks and paints to really highlight the incredible textures found in nature. From bold impressions to delicate linework, each print tells its own story.
And to keep the final papers cohesive, I’m also using a limited palette of just primary colors, which helps everything harmonize beautifully when these prints become part of a collage. Whether you’re an art journaler, collage artist, or just love experimenting with natural materials, this process is deeply satisfying and full of surprises.
And the best part is that no fancy tools are required - just leaves, ink or paint, and a willingness to explore.
