首屆大型舞蹈節「自由舞2023」圓滿結束 The first-ever Dance festival “Freespace Dance 2023” Draws to a close 今年「自由舞」聚焦香港及世界各地的女性編舞家，在過去的4至5月呈獻了多個精彩舞蹈節目，包括全新本地委約作品及創作平台，透過自身女性視覺以肢體展現和探討不同社會議題，挑戰既有框架，為觀眾帶來嶄新的視野。舞蹈節亦邀請到德國、比利時及以色列的藝術家帶領舞蹈工作坊，與本地舞蹈藝術家及學生進行交流。 為了進一步豐富觀演體驗，除了講座及演後藝人談，舞蹈節更首次引入演前形體導賞，部分節目亦加設演前觸感導賞及粵語口述影像服務。另與國際演藝評論家協會（香港分會）合辦「舞蹈賞析工作坊」，鼓勵更多舞蹈評論書寫。藉著全方位的活動，讓不同能力的人士都能感受及享受舞蹈。 再次感謝所有入場觀眾的支持，明年11月再見！ Spanning over April and May, this year’s festival was a celebration of women choreographers, showcasing both Hong Kong choreographers alongside international artists. For an electrifying month, audiences were treated to a wide variety of vibrant dance programmes, including new locally commissioned works and creative platforms. Informed by their perspectives as women, they explored various social issues through the language of their bodies and movement, challenging existing frameworks and sparking new perspectives. The artist groups from Germany, Belgium and Israel also led dance workshops, offering exchange session with the local dance artists and students. Beyond the intellectual insights from post-performance talks and artists’ sharing, the festival further enriched the viewing experience by introducing pre-show physical introduction for the first time, with some programmes also adding pre-show touch tours and Cantonese audio description services. We also co-presented Dance Appreciation and Criticism Writing Workshops with the International Association of Theatre Critics Hong Kong (IATC (HK)) to encourage more dance writing and nurture dance critics. These holistic activities made dance more accessible, encouraging people of different abilities to feel and enjoy dance in their own ways. Thank you to all who came along to watch a show, present a work, or participate in a workshop — we are so grateful for your unwavering support.
