BUFrogs can make some seriously weird sounds and it is not just random noise 🐸 Those chirps clicks squeaks and almost toy-like sounds are all forms of communication. Frogs use different vocalizations to claim territory attract a mate react to movement or simply respond to changes in their environment. Some sounds are loud and obvious while others are quiet and strange enough to make you question what you just heard.
In captivity those sounds can pop up even more because frogs start recognizing routines vibrations and familiar presence. A frog that feels safe might vocalize out of curiosity excitement or mild stress like when lights turn on or food is expected. So when your frog makes a noise that sounds completely unhinged it is usually just doing frog math communicating in the only language it has
