Frozen Dumpling Recipes (Boiled Edition) ✨ I’ve had many people over the years ask me how to cook frozen dumplings well and only realised I’ve have never done a tutorial on this, so here it is for the boiling technique with some variations to up your dumpling game. To boil: 3 litres water 1 tbsp salt This amount of water to salt ratio will do up to 30 dumplings at a time, don’t overcrowd the pot otherwise the extra starches in the water make your dumplings gluey. Cook your dumplings from frozen, add them into boiling water, let it simmer and float for 2min before adding 1/2 cup cold water to stop the boil, bring back to a boil for 2 min and your dumplings should be cooked. If serving as is, coat them in a bit of sesame oil or neutral flavoured oil. Basic dipping sauce: 1 tbsp light soy sauce 1-2 tbsp vinegar (rice or black) 2 tsp chilli oil (optional) Sichuan/central Chinese sauce: (about 30 dumplings) 1 tsp sesame seeds 1 tsp chicken boullion powder 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/8 tsp white pepper 1/8 tsp or pinch ground Sichuan pepper 1-2 tsp chilli flakes 3 cloves grated/minced garlic 60ml neutral oil (heated) 2 tbsp light soy sauce 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce 1/2 tbsp rice vinegar (or any) 2 tbsp dark brown sugar syrup (mix water and sugar until dissolved 2:1 sugar to water) 2 tsp chilli oil 1/4 tsp salt to taste In a heat proof bowl with all the dry ingredients and garlic, pour over oil heated to 220C, add wet ingredients, taste and adjust. Coat dumplings and serve over noodles or vegetables (Asian greens). Summer dumpling dressing: (About 20 dumplings) 1 1/2 tbsp light soy sauce 2 tbsp sugar syrup (white sugar and water 1:1) 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or any) 1/2 tsp chicken bouillon powder 1/2 tsp sesame oil 2 tsp lemon or lime juice 1/4 tsp salt 1 clove garlic (minced) 1/2 tsp ginger (grated) Your favourite vegetables (I used, tomato, Chinese celery, shallot, carrot, cucumber, coriander) Mix all the sauce ingredients together and taste/adjust. The filling cooks in the pan, the wrappers steam right on top, and you end up with dumplings that are crispy on the bottom and soft on top. ✨ Save this for the next time you want dumplings that are better for you without all the work. Approximate macros per dumpling 98kcal | 9g of protein | 7g of carbs | 4g of fat Dumplings (One-Pan Method) Ingredients • 1 lb ground chicken or turkey • 1/4 cup coconut aminos • 1/2 tbsp rice vinegar • 2 tsp honey • 3 garlic cloves, minced • 1 tbsp grated ginger • 1½ tsp sesame oil • 1½ tsp red curry paste • 3 green onions, chopped • 16 wonton wrappers For cooking • 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil • 1/2 cup chicken bone broth Toppings • sesame seeds • green onions • chili oil Instructions 1️⃣ Make the filling In a bowl combine: • ground chicken or turkey • coconut aminos • rice vinegar • honey • garlic • ginger • sriracha • sesame oil • red curry paste • green onions Mix until well combined. 2️⃣ Form the dumplings Scoop about 1–1½ tbsp of the mixture and roll into small meatball-sized portions. 3️⃣ Cook Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the balls in the skillet and lightly flatten them so they cook evenly. Cook about 2–3 minutes until the bottoms begin to brown. 4️⃣ Add the wrapper Place a wonton wrapper directly on top of each chicken portion and gently press so it sticks. 5️⃣ Steam Pour 1/2 cup chicken bone broth into the skillet and immediately cover with a lid. Steam 5–6 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the wrappers soften. 6️⃣ Finish Remove the lid and allow any extra liquid to evaporate slightly. No 40 dumplings testing your patience at 5pm. Just press, cover, steam, crisp. Done. RECIPE 👇🏼 You’ll need: • 500g pork mince • 1 tbsp crushed ginger • 3 garlic cloves, minced • 1 tsp onion powder • 1 tbsp sesame oil • 2 tbsp soy sauce • 2 spring onions, finely chopped • 1/3 cup water • Wonton wrappers • Neutral oil (canola works well) Optional but elite toppings: • Sriracha • Extra soy sauce • Extra spring onions • Sesame seeds Method: 1. Add everything except the water and wonton wrappers to a bowl and combine well. 2. Roll into even balls and place onto a lightly oiled pan. I used an ice cream scoop so they’re all the same size and cook evenly. 3. Place a wonton wrapper over the top of each ball and gently press the edges down slightly. Drizzle a little oil over the tops. 4. Heat on medium. Add the water and quickly cover with a lid. Do this 3 times (add water + cover), cooking until the pork is cooked through. 5. Remove the lid and let any remaining water cook off so the bottoms crisp up and turn golden. Viral One Pan Dumplings ✨ RECIPE 500 g ground pork 1/2 cup chopped green onions salt black pepper paprika garlic powder 1 pack wonton or gyoza wrappers 1–2 tbsp sesame oil 1/3 cup water Toppings: Crispy chilli oil Sliced green onions or extra shallots Sesame seeds Soy sauce In a bowl, combine pork, spices, green onions and mix well. Roll into small balls. Heat a little sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the pork balls with space between them and cook for about 1 minute. Place a wonton wrapper on top of each ball, drizzle a little oil over the wrappers, and cook for 30 seconds. Add 1/3 cup water, cover the pan, and steam for 5–7 minutes until the wrappers are soft and translucent. Add more water if needed. Finish with crispy chilli oil, extra shallots, sesame seeds, and a drizzle of soy sauce, then serve immediately. #dumpling #viralrecipe #dumplings

All you need is ONE pan. That’s it. We’re making this in 3 easy steps 👇 🔸 Step 1: Dumpling Dough (2 ingredients) • 2½ cups plain flour (maida) • 1 tsp salt • Lukewarm water (as needed) - Knead it like regular roti dough. - Wrap & rest 15 mins. - Unwrap, knead again for 20 seconds. - Wrap & rest another 15 mins. - Roll it like a roti. - Cut or shape however you like, circles, squares, rustic edges, nobody is judging 😌 No special technique. Your dumpling dough is READY. 🔸 Step 2: The Filling (Use What You Have 🥕🌽) I used 👇 • ½ kg chicken mince • Carrots • Cabbage • Mushrooms • Corn • Onion • Garlic You can literally add whatever you like. 🌶️ Spices: • Black pepper • White pepper • Red chilli flakes • Red chilli powder • Soy sauce • Salt (adjust carefully, soy sauce already salty!)
