La regla 60:30:10 en producción audiovisual sigue siendo una de las herramientas de composición visual más efectivas que existen. Viene del diseño de interiores y la pintura, pero cuando la aplicas en cámara, en la dirección de arte, es lo que hace que un frame se sienta construido y no improvisado. ¿Cómo funciona en set? 60% → Color dominante. Es el que define el mood de la escena. Esta decisión no se toma en post se toma cuando el DP y el director de arte se sientan a hablar de la intención emocional de cada secuencia. Es la base sobre la que se construye todo lo demás. 30% → Color secundario. Le da estructura y respiro al frame. Es donde vive gran parte del trabajo del gaffer, la temperatura de las luces, el relleno, los prácticos. Sin este 30% bien trabajado, el dominante aplasta y la imagen se lee plana. 10% → Color acento. El más pequeño, pero el que más trabaja narrativamente. Es el que guía el ojo del espectador hacia el punto dramático del plano. En el monitor se ve pequeño en la historia lo es todo. Lo interesante es que esta regla no opera solo a nivel de escena. Opera a nivel de personaje, de locación y de tono narrativo. Cuando el DP, el colorista y el director de arte la trabajan alineados desde la preproducción, el resultado se sostiene desde el onset hasta el final del grade sin necesidad de parcharlo en la sala de edición. Un buen ejemplo de esto es el MCU, en Avengers cada paleta de personaje está construida sobre este principio.
