Post-cholecystectomy diarrhea happens because bile flows more freely into the intestines without a gallbladder to regulate it, leading to irritation and loose stools. This usually improves over time, but a low-fat diet and bile acid binders can help manage symptoms. If it persists, talk to your doctor! #Cholecystectomy #GallbladderRemoval #DigestiveHealth #MedicalFacts #GutHealth

Had your gallbladder removed… and nobody told you what to do next? 😳 Cool. They took the organ. But they didn’t give you the playbook. If it were me, here’s exactly what I’d do. First — I’d stop guessing. You’re usually in one of three lanes: Lane A: You can’t tolerate fats anymore. Steak wrecks you. Fries = regret. Floating, greasy, pebbly stools. Nausea. That’s often not enough bile showing up at the right time. Lane B: Bile acid diarrhea. Urgency. “I might not make it to the bathroom.” Loose stools that started right after surgery. That’s bile spilling into the colon and pulling water with it. Lane C: Reflux. Upper belly pressure. Bloating that won’t quit. This can be poor bile timing, slow motility, dysbiosis, even SIBO or low stomach acid upstream. Different lane. Different strategy. But here’s the mistake I see constantly: People jump into keto after gallbladder removal. High fat. Big meals. And then they’re shocked when their body revolts. If I had mine removed, the FIRST thing I’d do? Reset the input for 14 days. Smaller, more frequent meals. Lower fat. Chew your food like you mean it. Simple. Bland. Strategic. Because you can’t overwhelm a system that’s already struggling and expect it to magically adapt. In this week’s podcast episode, I break down all three lanes, what’s actually happening inside your gut, and how to support bile flow the right way. If you’ve had your gallbladder out (or think you might), you need this one. 👉🏼Comment “REVIVE” and I’ll send you the link to the episode 🎧🔥

Gallbladder gone? Your mornings matter more than ever. What you eat first thing can either set your digestion up for success… or leave you dealing with urgency, bloating, fatigue, and cravings all day. After gallbladder removal, bile isn’t stored and released in a strong, timed way. It trickles instead of flows. That means your body needs the right kind of support in the morning not restriction. Here’s what I recommend for a better start: Prioritize protein → helps stabilize blood sugar → improves bile signaling → reduces mid-morning crashes Think: eggs, turkey sausage, Greek yogurt, ground turkey or leftover protein from dinner Add soluble fiber → binds excess bile → supports more formed stools → calms irritation Think: oats, chia seeds, berries, ground flax Include balanced carbs → supports energy + thyroid + liver → prevents cortisol spikes Think: fruit, beans, gluten-free toast, oats Don’t fear healthy fats (just be strategic) → small amounts in the morning → too much too fast = symptoms Think: a little nut butter, eggs, or ground flaxseeds Avoid coffee on an empty stomach → can worsen urgency + bile reflux → spikes cortisol and irritates digestion Have it after a balanced meal instead Your goal isn’t to eat “perfect” it’s to eat in a way that works with your new physiology. This is exactly how we start rebuilding digestion, improving stool consistency, and getting your energy back. If you’re tired of guessing what to eat without a gallbladder I provide simple tips to help get you started inside my Gallbladder gone diet plan ➡️ comment “diet” #gallbladdersurgery #gallbladderremoval #fattyliver #liverhealth

Do you REALLY have to take out your gallbladder? In the case of an acute infection (cholecystitis) - yes. But in the case of chronic symptoms it is SO important to have a thorough root cause evaluation & prevention strategy to see if surgery can be avoided! Dr Ivanina’s root cause evaluation includes: ✔️ blood &stool tests to look at liver function, GGT and pancreatic tests amylase/lipase and for bile problems- looking for fat malabsorption that may lead to deficiencies of vitamin A, D, E, and K. Also a 7ac4 for bile acid malabsorption! ✔️Abdominal ultrasounds are a key first step for gallstones or gallbladder sludge, polyps, cancer. ✔️Upper endoscopy can be crucial to rule out other problems. ✔️ Cholecystokinin (CCK)-stimulated cholescintigraphycholescintigraphy can help identify a low gallbladder ejection fraction (slow gallbladder motility)- and MAST CELLS have been implicated as playing a role here. Clapping for the women who decided they were done guessing and actually wanted answers 👏Which means I’m also clapping for the women who tried first 👏 The ones who went down the rabbit holes, tested things out, and learned their body along the way. I love that, because that’s how awareness starts. Buttttt at some point it starts to feel like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole (I’ve been there). You’re doing all the things, but nothing is fully clicking. That’s where testing changes everything. Because instead of guessing, you finally get answers and that’s when things actually start to make sense. That takes intention. That takes commitment. And that’s how real change happens 💛 If you’ve had your gallbladder removed and you’re tired of managing your life around symptoms, comment READY and let’s talk about what real support looks like. 💛 #GallbladderRemoval #BileSupport #BloatingRelief

Gallbladder removed? These 5 foods can now trigger loose motions ⚠️ After a Cholecystectomy, your body needs time to adjust—fat digestion isn’t the same. Fatty and greasy foods 🍟, spicy meals 🌶️, high-dairy items 🧀, very high-fiber foods 🥗, and milk (if sensitive) can all upset your gut. As Dr. Sandip Mathur explains, recovery can take 3–6 months or longer, so food choices matter more than ever. Listen to your body, go slow, and avoid triggers for better digestion ✅ 👉 Follow for more practical gut health tips. #GallbladderRemoval #DigestiveHealth #GutHealthTips #PostSurgeryDiet #DrSandipMathur
