🔹Garni Temple, built in the 1st century AD, is dedicated to the Armenian god of Sun. It is the only surviving Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia and the post-soviet territory, symbolizing the pre-Christian heritage of the region.
🔹The temple’s design reflects strong Hellenistic influences, with its classical Greek-style columns, proportions and overall structure. It was likely commissioned by King Tiridates I and financed by the Roman Emperor Nero as a gesture of political alliance.
