I dont want to fall down any predetermined path that "the algorithim" takes me down, but does anyone else remember being pulled from class to participate in the GATE program in the 80s and 90s?? I remember listening to weird audios and playing games where we had to guess what was next, and even had a class where they turned off all of the lights and played tones while we were guided through meditation and visualization exercises. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but now im listening to other people's stories too and realizing a lot of it wasn't normal at all 😅

A lot has started to surface about this GATE program where millennials were (low key) tested for psychic abilities. Do You know or remember anything about this? I have conflicted feelings about it. Tbh I feel some kinda way that I didn't get into the program 🙄😆 but also grateful because who knows what my life would be like now if the adults at my school had really found out about my little airbending self 😳🤔 I hated doing anything that was even remotely close to homework anyway, especially anything I wasn't getting graded on but I bet if they had told me as a kid what they were really looking for I would have passed them things with flying colors 😆 I wonder if this program still goes on in some way... She said they were looking for psychometrists but the more people start sharing their testimonies the more it seems like maybe different types of tests for different types of abilties? 🤔 She also mentioned that their main goal was to recruit people with abilties like this into the military which could explain why many of us weren't recruited. I was never really the compliant type and me in the military would most likely lead to me getting kicked out of the military. 😆🙌🏿 Thank you so so much for sharing Your story @its.monicalynne ! I was definitely a part of the Gate program growing up I can still remember the running wild tests on me in a private classroom assay from everyone else often. They held a whole bunch of us back in first grade ! We were forced into a class they called readiness and told our parents we were mentally emotionally or behaviorally unfit to be a 1st grader although I was already reading at a 3rd grade level lol 😂 we were gifted and hyperactive
