Ben 10: Ultimate Alien (2010–2012) — The series introduced the revolutionary “Ultimate” feature, which simulated a million-year worst-case scenario war to force Ben’s aliens to evolve. While it looks like a simple power-up, the show’s creators designed these forms to represent the ultimate survival adaptations of each species!
Voice actor Dee Bradley Baker performed a truly Herculean feat for this series—he provided the unique voices for nearly every single one of Ben’s alien transformations. To keep the sounds distinct, he used a variety of throat techniques and even different vocal “textures” to make each creature feel like its own biological entity.
The show holds a special place in Cartoon Network history as one of the last series to premiere during the fan-favorite “Noods” era. It also featured an epic crossover with the show Generator Rex, titled “Ben 10/Generator Rex: Heroes United,” which required the two different art styles to be meticulously blended into a single, cohesive cinematic experience.
