Using a pedal lock is one of the simplest ways to help prevent a car from being driven away. By physically blocking the pedals from being pressed, the vehicle can’t be operated normally even if someone manages to get inside. Without access to the throttle, brake, or clutch, the car becomes extremely difficult to move. What makes this method effective is how it disrupts the speed and routine most theft attempts rely on, immediately creating resistance and frustration. Sometimes simple mechanical deterrents like this can be just as effective as electronic security systems in making a vehicle a far less attractive target.

1️⃣ High-achieving students are usually described the same way. Focused. Responsible. Driven. Teachers admire them. Parents trust them. They get results. But a school psychologist noticed something unexpected while observing top performers across different schools and age groups. Behind the success, the same inner trait kept appearing. 2️⃣ The trait wasn’t intelligence or discipline. It was early internal pressure. These students learned very young to monitor themselves constantly. Their effort didn’t come from curiosity alone — it came from a quiet belief that slipping meant losing approval, safety, or value. 3️⃣ As children, they picked up on subtle signals. Praise felt conditional. Attention followed achievement. Calm followed good performance. The brain learned a simple rule: stay ahead, stay in control, don’t fall behind. Over time, this rule became automatic, running in the background of everything they did. 4️⃣ This trait fuels success — but it also has a cost. High achievers often struggle to rest without guilt. They feel uneasy during downtime. Mistakes feel heavier than they should. The nervous system stays slightly activated, even when there’s nothing to fix. Achievement becomes regulation, not expression. 5️⃣ The psychologist realized that performance wasn’t the problem. The problem was what performance was used for. When success becomes a way to stay safe instead of a way to grow, pressure never turns off. Real balance appears when effort stops being a shield and becomes a choice again. I’m Mikhail. I’ve built $3.2M in digital marketing sales by recognizing when drive comes from pressure — and when it comes from clarity. Most people will read this as praise for high achievers. A few will recognize the weight they’ve been carrying all along.

Why do ADHDers want to master everything immediately and get so frustrated when they can’t? It’s not impatience. It’s how the ADHD brain is wired. 🧠 Dopamine-driven brain The ADHD brain is motivated by novelty, quick rewards, and visible progress. When something doesn’t work right away, dopamine drops and frustration spikes fast. ⏳ Time blindness ADHD makes it hard to feel the passage of time. Learning curves feel endless, even when they’re normal. “Not yet” can feel like “never.” 💥 Emotional regulation struggles With ADHD, emotions hit fast and hard. A small obstacle can trigger intense irritation, shame, or overwhelm — not because you’re dramatic, but because your nervous system reacts instantly. 🧩 Big-picture thinking ADHDers often see the end result clearly — but the slow, step-by-step process feels painfully mismatched with that vision. When reality doesn’t keep up, frustration grows. ✨ How to help ❌ Stop judging yourself for not being “patient enough” ✅ Break learning into tiny wins ✅ Add quick feedback or rewards ✅ Make progress visible — fast ADHD doesn’t want perfection instantly. It wants movement, meaning, and momentum — now. 👇 Comment “ADHD” if you want tools that actually work with your brain. 💜 Follow for ADHD-friendly tips, not discipline advice.

Using a pedal lock is one of the simplest ways to prevent a car from being driven away. By physically blocking the pedal from being pressed, the vehicle becomes impossible to operate normally — even if someone manages to get inside. No throttle, no clutch, no smooth escape. What makes this method effective is how unexpected it is. Most theft attempts rely on speed and routine, and a locked pedal instantly disrupts that rhythm. The resistance is felt the moment pressure is applied, forcing attention, delay, and frustration — three things thieves try to avoid. It’s a low-tech reminder that some of the best deterrents aren’t alarms or electronics, but basic mechanical barriers that turn a quick job into a serious headache. Stretching before a run doesn’t help you Multiple studies show that holding stretches before activity doesn’t reduce injury risk and can actually temporarily decrease force production and running economy. In other words: your muscles get more relaxed, not more ready Running performance is driven by: • tendon stiffness • neuromuscular coordination • load tolerance Static stretching doesn’t meaningfully improve any of those A proper warm-up raises core temperature, increases nerve firing, and improves tissue elasticity. Skip the stretches and instead just start your run a little slower, or do some dynamic movements to get the body warmed up

Follow US (@ROBOTICS) to learn something NEW everyday 🚀 Comment ‘Robot’ to get access to our Weekly Robotics Newsletter. Researchers have created a wearable robotic “extra thumb” that straps onto the side of a person’s hand, effectively adding a new controllable digit. Instead of being driven by the fingers themselves, the device is controlled through subtle foot movements, letting the wearer open, close, and position the extra thumb independently. That means you can stabilise an object, improve your grip, or hold something in place while your natural fingers do other work. It’s a glimpse of human augmentation that’s practical, not sci-fi: an assistive tool for tasks that need more dexterity, stronger grasping, or an extra point of contact.
