‘Git City transforms every GitHub profile into a unique pixel art building.’ I’ve been messing around with The Git City lately and it is such a cooler way to visualize the grind than just Github. It basically takes your entire coding history and builds a custom structure in this massive interactive world. It’s way more satisfying than just staring at those little green contribution squares all day.
Here’s what each skyscraper mean:
- The Height: Your building literally gets taller the more you contribute.
- The Width: It grows wider based on how many public repos you’ve got.
- Lit Windows: Your windows actually light up based on your star count and recent activity.
- RPG Vibes: It assigns you a “class” like Backend Titan or Full-Stack Mage depending on your stack.
- Shared World: You can actually explore the city and see where your building sits among other devs.
If you’re a developer, you seriously have to plug your username in and see what your skyline looks like. 💻👾
