JA@krispykreme Glazed Donuts at Home🍩😍
DONUT:
1 cup WARM milk of choice (I used @chobani extra creamy oat)
2 tbsp white sugar
1 packet fast acting yeast
Cover with a warm damp towel for 20 minutes before adding in the rest of your ingredients:
Pinch of salt
1/4 cup unsalted melted @kerrygoldusa butter
1 tsp vanilla extract or bean paste
1 egg ROOM TEMPERATURE
3 cups all purpose flour (you may need to add 1/2 cup more depending on your batter)
Mix until the dough comes together and then add to a floured counter and knees for 7-8 minutes until it springs back to you. Place in BUTTERED bowl and cover again for an hour.
Once the dough doubles in size, flour your counter again and begin to roll out. Use a cup to form your donuts and then a bottle cap or anything similar for the donut holes. Let your donuts rest for another 10 minutes before frying in your choice of oil, I used vegetable. Fry for about 7-8 minutes or until golden and then place on a wired rack.
GLAZE:
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk of choice
Mix until smooth
Roll your donuts in the glaze and then place on the wired rack for them to harden & enjoy!
